Common Precautions

• Substrate requirements: Substrate must be flat, dry, free of oil, grease, loose dust, and peeling paint. For latex paint walls, verify that the paint film is firmly bonded; Loose sections must be scraped and sanded.
• Substrate flatness: Walls with height variations exceeding 1mm per meter require leveling; Otherwise, the edges of 2.3mm-thick sheets may appear uneven or have gaps.
• Pre-installation cleaning: Clean substrate with mild detergent to remove oil and wax. For tile walls, light sanding is recommended to increase roughness and improve adhesion. Kitchen walls require thorough removal of grease residue.
• Application procedure: After peeling off the release film, align from one corner and press down. Use a squeegee to push air bubbles outward from the center. Leave 0.5-1mm expansion gaps between sheets or butt-joint with color-matched grout.
• Layout planning: Snap horizontal and vertical reference lines on the wall before installation. Start from the center and work outward to avoid narrow cut pieces at edges.
• Ambient temperature: Recommended installation temperature is no lower than 10°C. At low temperatures, initial tack is reduced; Use a hair dryer to warm the adhesive layer evenly before application.
• Cutting method: Cut with a utility knife along a straight edge using a sharp blade for clean edges. For irregular areas, create a paper template before cutting. Cut with the pattern side facing up.
• Cleaning and maintenance: Clean with a damp cloth or sponge using mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or hard brushes to prevent scratching the 8-micron surface layer.
• Storage conditions: Store cartons flat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and high temperatures. Storage temperature should not exceed 35°C with humidity below 70%. Store unused sheets flat and avoid heavy stacking.
• Removal method: Heat the surface to 50-60°C with a heat gun to soften the adhesive, then peel from corners. Residual adhesive can be removed with adhesive remover or rubbing alcohol.
